Owner / Operator / Franchise Operations Director / Sales and Promotion Complete Music is using only Professional DJ Gear, time and time again hiring only the friendliest, most talented entertainers, providing the best on-going training, constantly keeping up with the times with equipment, music and trends, and aiming for excellent customer service from the first phone encounter to the last song of the night. I’m responsible for the ongoing training of our entire DJ staff, the maintenance of all our systems; I handle daily operations and sales. My responsibilities may keep me from doing more than a handful of shows each year, however, I’m more than just a DJ, sales guy, or the administrator for Complete Music and Video Tampa, I manage the DJs by on-site evaluations at their events, and, I’m our liaison to the rest of the special events world and have become the face of Complete Music and Video Tampa to many of the vendors and venues with whom we work. What is your role as the Operations Director? I‘m in charge of staffing, training, equipment upkeep, sales, and presiding over the total operations of the company. Being a DJ myself, and working full time in the office, meeting and speaking with brides, I pass my passion and experience along with a bride’s perspective onto the DJs. I also take pride in providing our clients with professional quality customer service, updated DJ gear and lighting. There is nothing worse than having a DJ with cheap DJ gear that sounds horrible and doesn't work when you need it most! The one thing that has always kept us far ahead of our competition is our ongoing DJ Training. What about Complete Music has kept you working for them over the years? I want my clients and their guests to have a personal connection with our staff. We come up with new and unique ways to ensure our clients and their guests have the time of their life. I‘m going to be your best friend in this rollercoaster ride that people call event planning. I've been with Complete Music for many years and can honestly say that I've see it all. I encourage you to call me and pick my brain. Together we will come up with the perfect plan for your perfect day. In a business where DJ Companies come and go, owners don't maintain control over their company, and anyone who has a CD player and an internet connection, calls themselves DJs, Complete Music sets the standard for what a real Dj company should be. When I joined the team in 2000, I had some experience, but quickly learned, I knew very little. The training I received was amazing. Other company’s just don't come close to providing the ongoing training and tools to be successful. Personality: Never met a stranger and I will be in tune with your tastes to make sure you and your guests have a good time! Why did you become a DJ? I moved to Missouri around eight years ago (St. Louis region). My time in Missouri was a true blessing. I found a way to express myself artistically and make money. Who can ask for more? One of my friends introduced me to Complete Music and I have been there ever since. I’m highly respected as a veteran and top Dj at Complete Music St. Louis. Now I’m an owner in Florida. I love performing, music and people. Favorite Party Song: Most people today are looking for someone who can play a complete variety of music. As a DJ, it’s important to me that the music you choose or the soundtrack for your special day or corporate party helps create and enhance the mood of the celebration to deliver the perfect event. September by Earth Wind & Fire is awesome! Favorite DJ Memory: The mother of a Bride chased me around the room trying to get me to drink tequila from Mexico. I don't drink at my shows but I started a party train. They loved it! What makes you stand out as a DJ? I‘m an "outside the box" DJ. They call me "Wild Wes" for a reason! But I will adapt to fit any style that is requested. I’m multi-talented with an aptitude for filling a dance floor. I entertain audiences of all varieties. Through creativity, attitude and intense work ethic, I’m equally respected for my skills as a DJ and my skills as a planner and master of ceremonies. Fun Fact: I was dropped on my head as a small child! Ouch!
